Chong Lor serves as the paralegal and business administrator at Underwood Legal, LLC, where she plays a vital role in supporting clients and managing firm operations. She assists with estate planning, real estate, and estate administration and probate matters, helping clients navigate legal processes during difficult times. She also oversees the firm’s social media content and marketing, ensuring that estate planning and legal information is accessible to the community. In addition, she manages the firm’s accounting and business operations, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.​ Chong is passionate about helping individuals and families understand their legal options.
Education & Experience
Chong grew up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where she learned the values of hard work, community, and service. She attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, earning a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology. After college, she spent 10 years conducting research in anesthesiology with the UW–Madison Department of Anesthesiology. This experience honed her analytical and problem-solving skills, deepened her understanding of complex systems, and cultivated the precision she now brings to her work in estate and probate matters.

Before joining Underwood Legal, Chong also gained extensive customer service and business management experience running her family’s small grocery store, where she served as both store manager and accountant. This hands-on business background gives her unique insight into small business operations and financial systems—skills she draws on when assisting business clients with legal planning and compliance.

As a member of the Hmong community, Chong understands the unique legal challenges many individuals and families face, particularly when it comes to estate planning, probate, and business matters. She is passionate about providing guidance and support to Hmong families, ensuring they have access to clear and culturally informed legal assistance. Whether it’s explaining probate procedures, helping families protect their assets, or assisting small business owners, Chong is committed to making legal services more accessible and understandable for the Hmong community.

Hobbies & Interests

​When she’s not working, Chong enjoys spending time outdoors—hiking and camping across Wisconsin and especially throughout Colorado. She is passionate about Hmong embroidery, a traditional art form she is actively working to master as a way to stay connected to her heritage. She also loves interior decorating and home renovation projects, and she finds great joy in transforming spaces to reflect beauty, function, and personality.
